The number one thing we focus on here at Blue Sky Pergolas is designing and building the highest quality structure on the market using the absolute best materials and hardware you can buy. We source our Western Red Cedar from the finest mills in the PNW and British Columbia. All of our cedar is #1 grade and is green. When material is specified as green, it means that the wood has not been dried and it’s still wet from being cut down. Our unique milling process takes rough-sawn timbers/beams and processes them into clean, damage free timbers. Most cedar purchased will have some kind of damage, forklift or rust stains from the banding/wrapping.  Our process eliminates all that and creates a beautiful piece of timber. The last thing we want to do is to pre-stain a damaged and rusted piece of timber and have it show through the stain and look terrible once the pergola or pavilion is complete.
